In 19 years of working for the NHS, I have worked with people of all ages from a wide variety of different backgrounds, all bringing their own unique experiences, strengths, hopes and fears. Since 2010 I have worked in community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) alongside work in specialist services, such as a secure children’s home and CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. Having heard many stories from clients, families, professionals and colleagues over the years, I never forget what a privilege it is to have someone choose to share their story with me. My years of experience have taught me there is always hope for change, even when things seem at their very hardest, and I am passionate about sharing that hope with anyone who has taken the brave step to consider therapy.
Making change through therapy can be both exciting and scary and I work collaboratively with individuals and families to think about how best to understand themselves, and how to achieve the goals that are important to them. I believe that positive relationships and connections are vital for our wellbeing and I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental and curious space to help build a positive therapeutic relationship, which provides the foundation from which we can work. I have training and experience in a broad range of specialist therapies, and I work flexibly to integrate these to find the right approach for each person.
