Clinical Psychologist

I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist and have over 14 years of experience working with adults and children within NHS and Local Authority settings as well as within independent practice. Within my roles, I have worked predominantly in community settings, supporting people with a wide range of mental health and emotional well-being difficulties. My experience includes supporting people with neurodevelopmental disorders and Learning Disabilities. I am extremely passionate about my work and hope that all those who I support feel heard and validated.

It can be daunting to ask for help, so I always feel incredibly privileged when people share their experiences with me in therapy. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between myself and my client is the key to therapy being effective, so I aim to create a therapeutic environment based on compassion, collaboration, and trust. I aim to create a safe space where difficulties can be explored in more depth in a way that feels safe and contained. I am trained in a range of specialist therapies and draw upon these in a person-centered way, using an integrated approach to meet each client’s individual needs and to create a shared understanding of how their past experiences are impacting on their current emotional well-being. I am always hopeful that change can happen and feel honoured to share that journey with people.
